I use my journal for:Making diary entries, discussing ponderings from my own head, putting up bits of fiction, wittering, the usual.
I use my friends list for:Being involved in discussions that interest me, having all my news/comic feeds in one place. A lot of friends don't actually use their LJs as diaries, so seeing what people are up to is lower on the list here :)
Being on my friends list means: I trust you on some level, and I have an interest in reading your LJ. I'm trying to avoid getting into the friends-filters habit!
Me being on your friends list means: Whatever you consider it to mean - mileage varies hugely on what people consider their friends list to be.
Not friending you after you friended me means: See what I use my journal & friends list for - this journal is fully friends-only, so if you friend me without me knowing who you are, it's unlikely to be reciprocal, at least for a while - and if I don't want you reading my posts, or to read yours, then I probably won't reciprocate.
Friending you and not being friended back means: Whatever you choose it to mean - it's your choice, not mine.
I make friends only posts because: I prefer to know who is reading, plus it avoids potential professional issues. |
